Privacy Policy

Introduction

I am Jessie Wheat, a UK based sole trader.  My website address is: https://www.jwheatconsulting.com.

I am committed to safeguarding the privacy of my customers and website users and I only collect personal data for the purposes of responding to customer enquiries and for providing services as agreed with my clients.   

Enquiry Form

If you choose to use the enquiry form to contact me, I collect the data you provide including your name and email address.  This information will only be used for the purposes of responding to your message and any subsequent correspondence arising as a direct result of your enquiry.  I will not use your contact details for any other purposes without your explicit consent. 

Other Personal Data

During the course of responding to your enquiry or delivering an agreed service, you may provide additional personal data (typically telephone number, email address, physical address, other forms of contact details).  I will only use this information for the purposes of correspondence about your enquiry or project and I will not retain this information for longer than necessary (see below).

For some services (e.g. grant writing) I may also require access to additional personal data relating to you, your team, your subcontractors and other individuals working on your project.   This will be treated in the strictest confidence and only used for the purposes of compiling the grant application.  This information will not be passed to others (including submission of the application) without your explicit consent. 

Cookies

A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser and is stored by the browser. The identifier is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.

I use Google Analytics to help me analyse the usage and performance of my website.  Google Analytics gathers information and generates reports about the use of my website by means of cookies, but I only collect and use anonymous data (including anonymising of IP addresses). Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Data Sharing

I will not share your personal data with anyone else without your explicit consent.  Sometimes it might be necessary to share personal data with external parties for the purposes of fulfilling my contract (for example, if you ask me to communicate with grant providers on your behalf).  However, I will notify you if this is required and I will require your written consent before proceeding. 

Data Retention

If you provide your contact details for the purposes of making an enquiry, I will only keep this data for as long as is needed to respond to your enquiry and any subsequent follow-up conversations.  If we do not proceed to a service contract, your personal data will be retained for a maximum period of 12 months following the date of your most recent communication to me.

If you proceed to hire me, your personal data (contact information) will be retained for the duration of the project or service contract   Following completion of the project and once payment has been received in full, any personal data will be retained for a maximum of 24 months following the date of your most recent communication to me, unless you request otherwise.  Where personal data forms part of financial records (e.g. invoice records) this will be retained for a maximum of 7 years following the date of the final payment. 

Your Rights Over Your Data

If you have previously contacted me for any reason, you can request to receive a copy of the personal data held about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data we held about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
